Cardboard Recycling Containers

“Improving our recycling stream has always, and now more than ever continues to be a major objective of the CCIA. It is now a top priority. The CCIA needs your help to ensure that our recycling composition strictly adheres and supersedes our single stream guidelines. This includes the recent change to plastics 1 and 2 only and the “no bags in your bin” campaign. Additionally, to begin mitigating this issue, as of next week, all Cardboard Only Community Drop-off cans throughout the county will be removed. Anyone using these cans should now bring their cardboard to the Solid Waste Complex (SWC) free of charge.”

MRT residents have free curbside recycling pick-up. Cardboard can be put curbside on any regular recycling day with their other recyclables. Do not tie the cardboard. Residents can put something on top of the cardboard, or stand it up between other containers to hinder blow-away problems at the curb.
